Obama has disappointed me!

The pictures of torture and degradation - refusing to release them even though the courts said he must.
Emperor Obama? Shades of Bush.
I say put it all out in the open, of this wound will fester forever.



The argument he used, that this was done to protect soldiers overseas in dangerous regions, and that the pictures will be released when this threat is gone, does not hold water. Any fool can see that Americans will remain in these trouble spots indefinitely, probably even spreading out like an oil stain as the production of oil peaks, and huge displacement of populations start due to climate change messing up their climate and food/water sources. To me, at least, this is blindingly obvious. A country does not build up such a huge military machine and then leave soldiers in barracks and weapons rusting in storage. The logical thing is to employ them to protect your own interests. This is what will happen, barring a social or physical disaster akin to the yucatán meteorite.
